Happy New Year 2019 - Making Connections, Inc.

Dear Board Members, Community Associates & Supporters,

We are thankful for all of your support and for being part of our cultural education organization. As a small organization, we are continuing to make an impact in our community by providing cultural educating to children, university students and community members. 2018 was a busy year, our special thanks to Leo Hassan for being part of our cultural programs and providing Afro-Caribbean drumming presentations. Divina Garcia and Lesley Lanig for beng part of our Caribbean Children's Carnival and Lidia Morris for presenting at the University of North Texas-Dallas.

While visiting Dominican Republic for the holidays, one of my goals is also to deliver some of the donations of school supplies & shoes we received from our board members and our community supporters. I am also planning to meet with the student teachers who are participating in the DR Teacher Scholarship Program and visit other community organizations.

We hope that we can all meet next year here in Santo Domingo for our annual board meeting and "La Cultura Cura" cultural education training .

Our special thanks to the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, Community Artist Program (CAP) for all their support and sponsoring these cultural education programs.

Have a GREAT NEW YEAR and a Prosperous 2019!
